  • What makes Juniper Preserve unique compared to other venues?

    We only host one wedding per day
    We have multiple lodging options, bridal suite and four penthouses.
    We offer multiple event spaces- from a natural lava cave to a private island.
    All our indoor spaces are unique and offer large windows and indoor/outdoor patios.
    We offer golf, spa, wellness activities, resort pools, barrel sauna and more in a Central Oregon intentional luxury setting.


  • Can we host pre- or post-wedding events (rehearsal dinner, brunch, wellness activities)?

    Yes, we host many different types of celebrations and events. When you book your wedding with us, we give discounts for additional events like rehearsal dinners, pool parties, send off brunch and more. If you would like us to check availability of your event date, please let us know what your vision is, the date of the event and how many guests would be expected- from there we can give you a full quote for the additional event. We can also host spa days, group golfing activities, group wellness activities like Soundbaths, Yoga, Breathwork & Intention setting. We offer 10% off for wedding groups at the spa and 10% off tee times on our Jack Nicklaus Golf Course. Ask your event manager for more details.


  • Are you pet friendly?

    Yes, we are dog friendly in many of our Lodging options and at the wedding ceremony. Our lodging pet fee is currently $75, one time fee. Once food is being served, your four legged bestie must not be at the reception. There are a few dog care vendor options available that we have worked with in the past. Please let us know if you plan on bringing your dog as we will need to place you in pet-friendly lodging.


  • Are there discounts for off-peak or winter weddings?

    Peak season is June-September. Off season is November-April. Discounts are offered November-April and on Sunday events. We offer a Winter Wedding Package that includes ceremony & reception space, cutting cake, sparkling wine toast and more for $2200.


  • What is your payment schedule and cancellation policy?

    To save your event date we require a signed agreement and a $5000 deposit. Additional deposits are required with full payment due 5 business days before your event. Normally couples are 50% paid six months in advance, 75% paid three months in advance and 100% paid 5 business days prior to your event. Cancellation is also tiered and gets more strict as you move close to your event date, with the initial deposit being non-refundable. 50% of contracted charges are due if you cancel before six months before your event, 75% of contracted charges are due if you cancel before three months before your event and events are non-cancellable three months or less from your event.


  • What are your venue fees and what do they include?

    Venue fees depend on the time and date of your event. Peak season is June-September. Off season is November-April. Discounts are offered November-April and on Sunday events. Venue fees are based on the event space chosen and are per event space plus applicable service charge (currently 24%) and taxes (currently .57%). Venue fees include tables, chairs, floor length cloth table linens in white, ivory or black, cloth napkins in a variety of colors, high top cocktail tables, infused water station for ceremonies, plateware, glassware and silverware for up to 150 guests (additional items are available via rentals).


  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Wire Transfer/ACH, Personal & Business Checks are accepted for all deposits except your final payment. A credit card is required to be on file at least 14 days before your event and is used in case of damages or last minute additions/changes.


  • What is the timeline for setup and breakdown?

    Once contracted, you have the event space for 10 hours including set up and break down. Normally set up starts at 12pm on the day of the event and breakdown is 1 hour after the event concludes. Should your vendors need additional set up or break down time, please communicate these needs to your event manager.


  • Are there restrictions for décor, music, or entertainment?

    We follow the Bend noise ordinance, so all outside event space closes at 10pm. All outdoor amplified music must conclude by 10pm. We do offer indoor spaces for after parties should your group want to continue the party after 10pm. Options include: Trailhead Restaurant, Chanterelle Ballroom or Overlook room for an additional venue rental and food/beverage minimum. After parties start at $2200 depending on the event space and date chosen. We do not allow fireworks, sparklers or items that may include fire. We do not allow glitter or confetti. No decor can be affixed to any walls. We do not allow offensive signage or decor.


  • What are the options for inclement weather?

    Many of our couples opt to rent a tent in case of inclement weather. If your event is less than 140 guests we can also offer our indoor space as inclement weather backup space but do not automatically hold that space for the group. If you would like this held for you- this is $1500. This way the event space is not able to be sold to another group and you are guaranteed to have a back up space in case in case of inclement weather.


  • How do transportation and parking work for guests?

    We offer complimentary self parking onsite and offer valet parking for a fee. Airport transportation and transportation to Bend is offered at an additional fee- currently $120 per way, $240 per person round trip. We offer three Chevy Suburbans onsite that can be chartered for additional fees. We also have preferred vendors that offer group transportation- such as “Shuttle Oregon”.


  • What is the average food and beverage spend per guest?

    On average our couples spend anywhere from $120-$180 per guest. Menus can be customized to fit with budgets, especially in our off season which is November through April.


  • Do you offer wedding tastings?

    Yes, we offer wedding tastings to be scheduled a maximum of 1 year before your wedding. All wedding packages include a wedding tasting for up to two guests. Additional guests are $75 per person. Tastings are available November-April, Tuesdays-Saturdays and need at least a three week notice to schedule and plan for your tasting.


  • Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

    Yes we can customize menus based on allergies and dietary restrictions. We can also label all buffet items with common allergen inclusions. We require a list of all allergens and dietary restrictions at least 14 days in advance of the event.


  • What are your menu options and can they be customized?

    Our menus are fully customizable. We offer buffet, plated and family style menus. Our chef has done custom menus, fusion menus or can tailor menus based on allergens or dietary restrictions.


  • Is outside catering allowed?

    We do not allow outside catering in most circumstances. We do allow outside catering for cuisine we cannot produce on our own kitchen, such as Indian cuisine or Kosher.


  • What is the average length of stay for wedding parties?

    Normally a 2-3 night stay. Guests normally come in the day before the wedding and stay two nights. Some of our larger units (Vacation rentals & Penthouses) require a minimum two night stay.


  • Are there activities for guests before/after the wedding (golf, spa, wellness, dining)?

    Yes, guests will have access to our Lodge Pool & whirlpool (open year round), Trailhead Pools (open seasonally), 24 hour fitness facility featuring Peloton bikes, free weights and more. Onsite we have Iris Restaurant (open year round) that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, Trailhead Restaurant (open seasonally) offering casual bites, Grill on the Green (open seasonally), Coyote Lounge (open seasonally) offering beverages and light bites. Juniper Spa is open year round and offers bodywork and skin care. We offer yoga, pilates and select fitness classes at our wellness center or fitness center (see more details on our events calendar). Golf is available onsite- we have two 18 hole championship golf courses. Jack Nicklaus (public course) and Tom Fazio (private course available to members or hotel guests only). We also have pickleball courses, half basketball court, children’s playground, lawn games, board games, walking & running trails and bicycles.


  • What types of accommodations are available on-site?

    Juniper Preserve offers 98 modern lodge accommodations (including four penthouses), 24 vacation rentals that are 2,3 or 4 bedroom units, 1 luxury three bedroom home (Arden House). Guests have access to our Lodge Pool & whirlpool, Wifi, 24 hour fitness facility offering Peloton Bikes, free weights and more.


  • Do you have to stay onsite to have a wedding onsite?

    We do not require the wedding couple to stay onsite, however we do require a minimum of 10 guestrooms to be booked to have a wedding during our peak season which is June through September.


  • Are there room blocks or discounted rates for wedding guests?

    Yes Juniper Preserve offers 98 modern lodge accommodations (including four penthouses), 24 vacation rentals that are 2,3 or 4 bedroom units, 1 luxury three bedroom home (Arden House). We require a wedding room block with at least 10 guestrooms per night for any weddings held June-September. October-May we offer Courtesy room blocks. Discounts depend on the dates chosen, but range from 10%-20% off our regular room rates. Once a room block is created, guests can call in and mention the wedding name to receive the negotiated room rate, we also offer custom weblinks that can be added to your wedding website to allow for guests to book online 24 hours a day.


  • Do you have a planning checklist or timeline template?

    Yes, this is provided in the planning stage once a wedding is booked onsite.


  • What is included in your wedding packages?

    Event space, tables, chairs, plate ware and glassware for up to 150 guests (additional items can be rented for an additional charge), cloth napkins in a variety of colors, floor length table linens in white, ivory or black, high top cocktail tables, ceremony rehearsal space, wedding tasting for up to two guests.


  • Can we bring our own vendors? Are there preferred or required vendors?

    We have a preferred vendor list for everything from wedding planners, florists, designers, dog care and everything in between. These are vendors that have worked onsite before and have received great reviews from previous wedding couples. You can book and use your own vendors, however they must have liability insurance on file with Juniper Preserve. All food & beverage must be provided by Juniper Preserve. We do not allow any outside food or beverage with the exception of a wedding cake. Bakers must provide liability insurance to Juniper Preserve. Outside liquor is strictly prohibited due to our liquor license. All beer, wine and liquor must be served by Juniper Preserve.


  • Is an on-site wedding coordinator included?

    We do not offer onsite wedding coordination, however we do assign an event manager to coordinate the food, beverage and hotel provided items for the wedding. We also have onsite group & VIP coordinators that assist with hotel accommodations, golf & spa reservations. We require a minimum of a licensed and insured day of or partial wedding planner and can provide a preferred vendor list of planners that we know and trust.


  • How many weddings do you host per day?

    We host one wedding per day, allowing for each couple to feel unique and special on their wedding day. We do host other events onsite, such as corporate events, showers and celebrations but would not host another wedding in the same day.


  • What spaces are available for ceremonies and receptions (lava cave, Spirit Island, indoor/outdoor options)?

    We have many flexible options for ceremonies and receptions. Indoor spaces include: Chanterelle Ballroom, Overlook, Fireside, Cascade and Vintner. Our indoor spaces max out at 140 guests. Outdoor spaces include our Natural Lava Cave, Spirit Island, Event Lawn, Lodge Lawn and Pool Deck. Outdoor spaces max out at 300 guests.


  • Can we tour the property before booking?

    Yes, we encourage couples to tour our unique venue before booking, however not all couples are able to. In these instances we offer a virtual tour. Tours normally last one hour and are offered during select times Tuesdays-Saturdays.


  • Is there a minimum guest count or spend requirement?

    We have many unique event spaces that would be beautiful for an elopement with just the wedding couple or larger spaces like the Event Lawn and Spirit Island that seat up to 300 guests. Minimum spend depends on the date and time of the event. On average our couples are spending $5,000-$12,000 in venue rental fees in addition to $120-$160 per person for food and beverage. Venue rental fees differ based on the event space chosen and the time of year. We offer lowered venue rental fees and 10% off our wedding menus (not including bar or custom menus) for weddings held on Sundays. November-April we offer our Winter Wedding Package that is $2,200 and includes ceremony and reception venue rental, cutting cake, sparkling wine toast, bridal suite and more.


  • How far in advance should we book our wedding at Juniper Preserve?

    Normally couples book 1 year in advance, however each couple is different. Juniper Preserve needs at least three weeks notice to plan and put on an event. We are currently booking weddings in 2026 and 2027.
